The Full Story
About
Years ago when our children were in elementary school, my wife and I made the life-changing decision to send our kids to summer camp for the month of June. Family and friends seemed shocked by this decision and would ask, "Don't you miss them?" "How can you stand to be apart from them for a whole month?" "Do they even want to go?""What do you do while they are gone?" My response was simply, "It is a glorious month of Bourbon and Boxers, make sure you knock if you decide to stop by for a visit." After a couple of years, I created a Bourbon & Boxers flag that I would hoist at the front of the house the day we departed for camp. Every year, when the flag goes up, I get texts and calls from my neighbors, "Looks like they are at camp again, what are you doing this June?" What started as a running joke between family and friends has turned into a lifestyle, albet it short, where for a month, my wife and I get to pretend we are newlyweds who have the luxury of date nights, trips, and few responsibilities. Oh, and the kids absolutely love camp and can't think of a better way to spend their Junes. Come along for the ride as we welcome you to the Bourbons & Boxers lifestyle.
